








Information: The Orcinus Orca or otherwise known as the "killer" whale is the largest member of the dolphin member. The killer whale has a long black bosy with white on the underside and a dorsil fin in the middle of his back. Male orcas average 23 feet and about 7-10 tons. The female orcas average 21 feet and weigh 4-6 tons. They can live anywhere from 30-50 years. orca whales are known to be all over the world but are mostly found in the Arctic and Antarctic oceans. They can be found in coastal waters and in oceans. In order to find food, orchas use sound waves to bounce off of things in ocean. They use high pitch sounds to stun prey. Orchas eat fish, squid, and birds. When young orchas are born they stay with their mothers up to 2 years. Orcha whales are threatened by chemicals and pollution in the water. They can get diseases and cause reproductive problems.
